Travel Awards on Friday, featuring best in travel and tourism categories
like zoos and aquariums, theme parks, science centers, and national parks,
among others.
The Indianapolis museum and others were chosen by a panel of 24 journalists
and influencers. Editors from Parents, Travel & Leisure, and Family Travel
Forum, among others, reviewed the many candidates to make the final
decisions.
“The excitement starts in the parking garage where kids spot a dinosaur
bursting out of the wall. Five floors of one-of-a-kind exhibits, including
an interactive steam train and 800 fossils from a Wyoming Dig, make this
museum interesting for all ages,” said judge Kimberly Milnes.
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is a nonprofit institution that
provides learning experiences in the arts, sciences, and humanities.
