National Distinction Again Awarded to Riley Hospital


Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health in Indianapolis is once again
receiving national recognition. U.S. News & World Report has included the
hospital in its 2020-21 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings.

The hospital is ranked nationally in all 10 pediatric specialties included
in the list, each of which ranks the top 50 programs in the country.

Riley is ranked among the best programs for cancer (22), cardiology and
heart surgery (5), diabetes and endocrinology (26), gastroenterology and GI
surgery (21), neonatology (14), nephrology (14), neurology and neurosurgery
(22), orthopedics (44), pulmonology and lung surgery (14), and urology (2).

“Our core value at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health is to provide
safe care to children,” Dr. Elaine Cox, chief medical officer of Riley
Children’s Health, said in a news release. “This survey proves that Riley
offers the best quality of care for kids and it drives us to continually
improve and refine our skills to be the best we can be for our community.”
